Task-It ("we", "us") provides a task management app with an AI assistant. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

Account info: your mobile number (for login) and the name you choose.
Contacts you select: when you assign a task, we store the name and phone number of the assignee you pick. We do not upload your full phonebook without your action.
Task content: tasks, chat messages, and files you share — stored encrypted so the service can deliver them to your team.
Voice recordings: processed only to transcribe your spoken task, then discarded.

How we use it

To run the product: deliver messages, send task reminders and AI follow-ups.
To send one-time login codes (OTP) via SMS.
To notify assignees you invite, via SMS, that a task was assigned to them.

What we never do

We never sell your data.
We never read your tasks for advertising.
Our AI never contacts your team outside 9 AM – 9 PM IST for automated follow-ups.

Your controls

Delete everything: inside the app, Settings → "Delete all my data" permanently erases your tasks, chats and contacts.
AI off switch: disable the AI assistant app-wide or per task at any time.

Data retention & security

Data is stored encrypted in transit and at rest. Files are stored in secure object storage. Deleted data is removed permanently and immediately from our primary systems.
